iBasso is a Chinese brand that is known for their digital audio players (DAPS). Recently, iBasso has released the iBasso CA01 2.5mm Balanced to 3.5mm Single Ended cable adapter. Unboxing
The CA01 comes in hard white case with a transparent cover. There is a paper wrap around the case with the brand and model name printed on the front. At the back, there is the description of the CA01. After opening the case, the CA01 sits nicely on a white soft foam.
Adapter Design & Build
The cable adapter wire is high purity oxygen free copper wire and the wire insulation is proprietary high quality dielectric with antioxidant. The socket and plug has a silver housing with ring layers. On the plug, there is the brand name printed on it. The cable is braided and has a 4 core design. Overall, it is constructed well.
Comparison
The Fidue adapter uses silver-plated oxygen free copper wire and and it is covered with a sleeve. The plug is rhodium plated.
Conclusion
The CA01 is a nice adapter if you wish to convert from 2.5mm balanced to 3.5mm single ended.
