Each bass note on the MGS-401 is articulated with a more authoritative hit. The bass decay on the MGS-401 is quicker and the engagement level is higher. Bass texture on the B400 is rendered in a smoother manner. The mid-bass on the B400 has slightly more quantity and there is body to the slam. The midrange on the MGS-401 is more elevated than the B400 and it boasts a captivating listen. The details retrieval on the MGS-401 is better than the B400. The lower mids on the MGS-401 has slightly more quantity and male vocals benefit from it. The upper mids on the MGS-401 is boosted with additional forwardness. Female vocals are expressed clearly and there is extra liveliness. The level of intimacy is higher. The B400 is more laid-back. In the treble section, the MGS-401 has better extension. There is greater amount of air rendered on the MGS-401. There is no sibilance and harshness for both. The B400 is smoother in its treble. Treble on the MGS-401 has more crisp and defined treble. There is extra sparkle on the MGS-401 to inject excitement at the top end. In terms of soundstage, the expansion on both is natural. The width magnitude on the MGS-401 is greater and the depth of the B400 is more closed in. There is a more open feeling on the MGS-401.
Magaosi MGS-401 vs Magaosi X3
The X3 has more sub-bass quantity than the MGS-401 and the MGS-401 is able to extend its sub-bass greater. There is more punch from the MGS-401 while the X3 is able to bring out a more natural rumble. The bass decay on the MGS-401 is faster with agility which contributes to a quicker presentation. Bass texture on the X3 is smoother and it creates a soothing feeling. The mid-bass on the X3 has more body and the slam takes on a more weighted approach. The midrange on the X3 is more laid-back than the lively MGS-401. The MGS-401 has higher transparency level. The lower mids on the X3 is smoother than the MGS-401. Male vocals are more present on the MGS-401. The upper mids on the MGS-401 has additional forwardness with extra clarity. Female vocals are more engaging and there is a higher intimacy level. The details retrieval is better on the MGS-401. Moving on to the treble section, the MGS-401 has more extension than the X3 and there is greater amount of air rendered. There is no sibilance and harshness. The X3 presents the treble in a smooth manner while the MGS-401 has a different presentation which displays liveliness and it is exciting to listen to. Lastly, for the soundstage, the expansion on both is natural while the MGS-401 has slightly greater width magnitude. The depth on the MGS-401 is greater.
Sorry if I am asking for a lot, but can you compare the MGS-401 to the DM6 and the NS-5 Dream Bridge? I want to be as informed as possible since this will be my first Chi-Fi IEM 🙂

The MGS-401 is more suitable for female vocals but it has a lighter bass performance.

hi, excellent review, do you think that for the price it is better soundstage than you can get? Or do you recommend some other model with a bigger and more detailed sound? for that price I could get a se535 but I do not know if it is the best option.

Thank you! The MGS-401 has good soundstage but it is light in bass. It depends on other factors you are looking at too. There are other recommendations that has good soundstage too but they offer other aspects. Tansio Mirai TSMR 3 for 7 different sound signatures. TFZ Secret Garden HD for impactful bass.

I know they are in total different price levels, but both being 4 driver IEMs, can you please compare the MGS-401 with the IT04 in terms of transparency, detail retrieval, overall FR and isolation?
