Mids

The midrange on the DX160 has good transparency level with excellent details retrieval. The vocals are presented with clarity and there is an enjoyable listen. The lower midrange has fair amount of body and male vocals are expressed clearly with presence. The upper midrange has a nice boost and the extra emphasis results in a controlled yet lively female vocals performance. There is an engaging yet effortless midrange display.

Highs

The treble is extended well with no sibilance and harshness. The presentation is vivid and controlled. The details are expressed in a fine manner. The amount of air rendered is good which creates an airy feeling. The DX160 exhibits a nice amount of sparkle to liven the top end which creates a shimmery feeling. The DX160 has well-defined crisp and the articulation is accurate.

Soundstage

The DX160 has a natural soundstage expansion. The width magnitude is great. There is a good amount of depth rendered. Positioning of vocals and instruments is precise. There is a spacious presentation.
