The Q1 has a rectangular design with rounded edges. Its housing is purple in colour which is prototype for reviewers. On the front of the Q1 is the touch screen. At the left side, play/pause button, back & next buttons. At the right side, there is a volume wheel which acts as a switch on/off button too. At the bottom of the Q1, there are the USB Type-C port, 3.5mm standard headphone output jack and Micro SD slot. The back of the Q1 shows the brand logo and some specifications.

Functionalities

The Shanling Q1 has 10 sections of EQ with 8 presets (Pop, Rock, Dance, Blues, Metal, Vocal, Classic, Jazz), 3 custom presets and 8 digital filters. All presets can be customised. It can also be used as a standalone digital analogue converter (DAC) or as a digital transport. Moreover, it utilises Bluetooth 4.2 and supports bi-directional LDAC, AAC, SBC & aptX (Transmitter Mode).
