Sound Analysis


The Star has a good amount of sub-bass quantity and it is extended well. The sub-bass reproduction is able to provide sufficient rumble. The bass decay is on the quicker side of things which contributes to a nimble presentation. The bass texture is rendered well with moderate smoothness. The mid-bass has fair quantity and the slam is delivered with a nice punch. Each bass note is delivered with a precise hit. There is an enjoyable performance.


The midrange of the Star has a musical presentation and there is moderate transparency level. Vocals have a spot on amount of body and there is a strong focus. The lower midrange has good quantity and male vocals are bodied without any hollowness. The upper midrange has slight forwardness and female vocals are still present with nice intimacy. The midrange has a good balance and there is a focused vocals expression.


The treble is extended well and there is no sibilance and harshness. The treble has moderate body and it is articulated well. There is a smooth and controlled presentation. The amount of air rendered is apt and it helps to lighten the overall expression. Treble is crisp and well-defined. There is slight sparkle.


The Star has a natural expansion in its soundstage. There is an open feeling. The width magnitude is good and there is an effective amount of depth rendered.
