Sound Analysis


The Zen has great sub-bass quantity and there is good extension. The sub-bass reproduction is able to provide an impactful rumble which delivers an emphatic showing. The bass decay is on the quicker side of things and the extra agility elevates the engagement level. The bass texture is rendered smoothly. The mid-bass has fair quantity and the slam is presented with authority. Each bass note is articulated well with a precise hit.


The midrange is imbued with a tinge of warmth without compromising on the transparency. Vocals are belted out with nice presence and emotions are conveyed well. The lower midrange has apt amount of body and male vocals are expressed clearly. The upper midrange is forward and the extra emphasis creates a more upfront female vocals display. The Zen provides a sweet midrange.


The treble is extended well with no sibilance and harshness. There is fair body and the crisp has moderate definition. There is a smooth expression. The amount of air rendered is good and the top end is rather open. There is nice sparkle to add the finishing touch.


The Zen expands soundstage naturally. There is a holographic presentation with excellent width and great depth rendered.
