Sound Analysis
Lows
There is good sub-bass quantity and the Janus 2 has moderate extension. The sub-bass reproduction is able to provide a natural rumble. The bass decay is not too quick but the expression is still agile. The bass texture is rendered in a smooth manner. The mid-bass has apt quantity and the slam brings a nice impact. Each bass note is articulated well with a controlled hit.
Mids
The midrange has moderate transparency level and it is imbued with a tinge of warmth. Vocals are belted out with presence and emotions. The lower midrange has fair body and male vocals are expressed clearly. The upper midrange has great emphasis and it creates a forward female vocals display. The Janus 2 is able to deliver a clean midrange.
Highs
The treble has moderate extension with no sibilance and harshness. There is nice body and it contributes to a controlled presentation. The amount of air rendered is good and it helps in an open top end. There is some sparkle to inject energy. The treble has good finesse and there is a relaxing listen.
Soundstage
The Janus 2 has a natural soundstage expansion. There is good width and depth.
